Although cygwin does give you a quite in-depth unix like environment, I
wonder whether these binaries are fast? Personally I'm still stuck with the
ol' desktop radiance binaries, which are pretty much on par with the
rendering speed I'm getting on a linux box. Scripting Radiance is done via
Python. I'd be curious to know your experiences in terms of speed
