Rview

I recently was able to get radiance up and running on a windows machine and am going back to the beginning of "Rendering with Radiance" so I know more than just enough to be dangerous.

Having trouble with the with the first tutorial (a dubious start) in that I can't seem to get the rview command to work so went back to my power Pc and couldn't get it to work there either.

My guess is that maybe it's not compiled in the versions I have?

Not a big deal at all, but thought I'd pluck up the courage to ask.

Best,
Ben

Hello Benjamin,

I believe that command is now called RVU... does that work?

The program formerly known as rview is now known as rvu. Not sure what
vintage(s) of Radiance installs you have on your machines, but I’d start
by substituting rvu for rview. If this is a very new install on the
Windows system you may be hitting an issue with the latest builds. In that
case you;d get a Qt error, and I’d recommend using a slightly older
version of the installer (assuming you’re using the NREL installers in
this case).
