Hi,
Can you please list a few peer-reviewed journal and conference papers that deal directly or indirectly with the validation of Radiance? Probably Reinhardt and Walkenhorst in Energy and Buildings, and Mardaljevic in LR+T - any others? If you could list the details, I'd appreciate it - good to know for everybody.
Many thanks

Here is ours, currently in press:
A. I. Ruppertsberg and M. Bloj, 2006, Rendering complex scenes for psychophysics
using RADIANCE: how accurate can you get?, J. Opt. Soc. Am. A, in press.
for a free download of the non-typeset version go here:
http://josaa.osa.org/upcoming_pdf.cfm?id=63954
In particular we've looked at accuracy for different colour coding variants:
RGB, sRGB and spectral rendering with a strong emphasis on colour accuracy (and
luminance of course). For validation we compared rendering results with
measurements from the real-world counterpart scene.
cheers,
alexa
