Another good point. It seems trans is not really valid for woven
materials with any thickness in relation to the size of the holes. Maybe
only for thin sheet metal with large perforations. Otherwise BRTD is
required. Would you agree?

fabrics will have a certain incident cut-off angle, where specular
transmission gets completely eliminated due to geometric constraint. You
can observe it with your eyes.
