Problem Importing DXF into Maya on Mac OS X

Hello everyone,

I am trying to import an 3D Office room, which I created in Autocad 3D Civil 2008. I have the file in the DXF format, but when I tried to import it to MAYA on MAC OS X.. It crashed.

Anyone with a solution for this problem.

Thank you

While I do not see that this is somehow related to Radiance, I think that dxf is simply a problematic format for model exchange. There are standards such as iges, step for cad, and for models/scenes vrml, x3d usually work well. dxf is a propietary format by Autodesk, they change it at will, do not expect other software to be able to support it perfectly.

To import (subset) dxf into radiance, there are several translators, but obj is better supported now.
