PhD position as part of project "Light fields in climate-based daylight modeling for spatio-temporal glare assessment"

Dear all,

supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, we are going to start a new research project to find new approaches to glare evaluations accounting for spatial and temporal dimensions. The project will heavily rely on, and hopefully extend Radiance. Therefore, and since the probability to find interested candidates is highest here, I want to share the description of the vacant PhD position that will play an important role for the projects:

Applications will be through an online system in August, and it is important to note that they must be for the employment in Lucerne and, in parallel, for the doctoral school at EPFL. This means that potential applicants need to get their documents ready within the coming few weeks.

If you know anyone who might be interested but is not subscribed to the mailing list, please feel free to forward the PDF!

Sorry to all those who don’t need one more PhD or just decided that they can live without

Cheers, Lars.

Dear all,

sorry for this (moderate) spamming… since I posted this without any
means to apply, I wanted to add that the website for online applications
is finally online:
