Hi Robert,
let me ask you a question about the calculation that you can do within OpenStudio interface without checking "Use Radiance for daylighting calculation".
In this case are interior artificial lighting consumption results derived only from light schedule or are they based also on EnergyPlus daylighting calculation?
That's something not so clear for me.
Any news about the three-phase method?
Thanks a lot!

As far as I knew, Openstudio is just an interface. Lighting simulation will
be done through Radiance or EnergyPlus

Khalid's right, if the "Use Radiance..." box is not checked, OpenStudio simply uses EnergyPlus for all the calculations, including the daylighting stuff. Illuminance map definitions and daylighting control points translate over to E+, but not the new glare sensor object in OpenStudio.
Sorry for the delayed reply, I'm sorta trying to be on vacation. =)

I realized I never answered this question. The three phase stuff is getting pretty close; Unfortunately I am on holiday and probably won't return to this until Monday. I may have something for you to try out next week, but for sure it'll be in the next iteration release in a couple of weeks.

" In this case are interior artificial lighting consumption results derived

It could be either way based on your idf file setting. You may want to
check Daylighting:Controls in EnergyPlus Input-Output Reference (page 376)
for more details.
