You can nest mixpicts (and almost anything) recursively as often
as you want. On the other hand, why don't you just use a picture
of your mosaic and map that on the surface as a normal colorpict?

Hi!
You can nest mixpicts (and almost anything) recursively as often
as you want. On the other hand, why don't you just use a picture

Because (again, I had to explain that in a different thread before) I have material values for the stones the mosaic is made of, but no calibrated picture of the whole that I could simply use as a colorpict. However, I can "draw" the mosaic using the known values, than map that drawing. However, as I never used the mixpict, which seams to be a quite powerful tool, I was quite interested in its limitations, and I found very few documentation on it.
So thank you all who answered, I got an idea now what I can do with that mod, CU, Lars.
