Dear all, I got a warning when using findglare to process a hdr image file:
*findglare: warning -- missing 1% of samples*
And the ugr value produced by glarendx using the .glr file generated in the
previous step is zero.
May I ask why the hdr image, which looks fine in Photomatix, is causing
findglare error?
The HDR image is shared in the following link:

Thanks!
Joe
findglare cannot resolve the sun in that image, not sure how to overcome this. increasing -r doesn't help.
why are you evaluating such a scene with UGR? UGR doesn't make sense for very small glare sources and also not for daylight situations.
As far as I know, for exterior spaces no established glare rating exist.
You could use evalglare (version 12) instead and look for the CIE veiling glare index (-d option, last index printed), gives you the veiling luminance in the eye according to the cie disability glare equation. This option is pretty new in evalglare, so if you use it, pls check it against hand calculation and report any problem... I checked it only quickly when implementing.
I also wouldn't use DGP for exterior spaces.
good luck

Thanks, Jan!
I used an interior setting for the test this time as suggested.
However, I still can't get the correct UGR and Guth-VCP output values.
I'm quite confused as there is no such problem on another computer with
Radiance installed (UGR=33.77, Guth_VCP=0.46).
Hope you can kind advise!
The scene files and the batch file of the Radiance commands are shared in
the following link:

(need to change Z_cmd.txt to Z_cmd.bat)
I'll try evalglare as suggested later.
Thanks!
