Dear colleagues,
Some of you might be interested in a new Radiance/Daysim plug-in that we
have developed for the Rhinoceros - NURBS modeling for Windows
application. The plug-in, called DIVA-for-Rhino, supports a series of
performance evaluations including:
- Physically-based scene visualizations (Radiance)
- Annual radiation maps (Radiance/GenCumulativeSky)
- Climate-based daylighting metrics (Daysim)
- Glare analysis (Evalglare)
- LEED IEQ Credit 8.1 compliance (Radiance)
The plug-in offers a highly optimized simulation workflow within
Rhinoceros and can be combined with parametric Grasshopper scripting in
order to generate animated Radiance/Daysim simulations.
More information can be found at
www.gsd.harvard.edu/research/gsdsquare/ABPS.html. You can download the
plug-in from www.diva-for-rhino.com.
Happy simulations!

I would like to ask if there is a version of Diva for Rhino for a 64-bit PC.
Where can I find it?

Dear Maria,
We have not generated at 64 bit version of DIVA-for-Rhino. For the Rhino
scripting this would probably not be a big deal but I am not even aware
if there is a Radiance 64-bit version. Maybe somebody else on this list
knows?

I expect that the 32-bit versions of Rhino and Radiance work fine on 64-bit Windows systems. There is no final 64-bit version of Rhino in any case, and little advantage in a 64-bit version Radiance components.
