Hi all,
I am trying to create some BSDF (klems and tensor tree t4 ) with genBSDF.
A detail that surprised me is the option "-geom unit_distance". Up to my
understanding, using the same geometry at different scales shouldn't alter
BSDF properties. If my blinds are two times bigger, the angular properties
should not varry (excluding some randomness in the calculation). I feel
like I have missed something that would justify including the unit
distance if I don't want to keep the geometry.
Sincerely,
Marouane Boudhaim.
Indeed, the distribution should not change apart from Monte Carlo variations with the -geom "unit" option. What are you seeing that is unexpected?
