This is Greg Ward, e-mailing from John Mardaljevic's account in the U.K.
I just used John's SunBlade running Solaris 5.8 to build the Radiance 3.5
binaries, which I've added to the list of binaries available from the main
website download:
http://radsite.lbl.gov/radiance/download.html
I expect Peter A-B will add these to the radiance-online cache as well. Please
let me know of any difficulties you have running these executables on your
system. I did not link them statically, so there might be dynamic library
issues.

Hi Greg,
that's great news for someone who has not been able to compile the
3.5-source
on Solaris. Did you use gcc (as I tried) or did you have a native Compiler,
so that
we will have an "optimized" binary for the sparc platform?

These were compiled with the native Sun compiler, so I'm hoping they're
optimized.
