rtcontrib works with trans materials?

Hallo there,

Ok, as the others, I am not professional yet using radiance and now I am
facing problems running dds
command. The problem arises using trans materials. I was trying to solve my
problems using a simple
room with one window as trans.

rtcontrib works seemingly fine with glass material, but with trans material
shows not convincing results.
even if I change the trans parameters, and I am ending up with same results
with different material
parameters.

i am using -ad 8192 -lw 2e-12.

Kindly advise,

nass

With trans materials you have to increase the -ab value beyond the default
which is not necessary for glass. You can start with -ab 1 to get the same
starting point as with the glass scene but I expect you should increase
that depending on your scene complexity.
