Radiance to Trnsys

We want to simulate the lighting conditions in a building with the
RADIANCE Software.
The Simulation depends on the natural and artificial light and the
window blinds.
After this simulation, we want to send the results from RADIANCE to a
simulation software called TRNSYS.

Here are my questions regarding this topic:
Is it possible to couple RADIANCE with TRNSYS?
Does RADIANCE only image-files (as output) produce?
Have anybody of you, connect TRNSYS with RADIANCE
successfully?
And have you any tutorials or other useful
documents/links?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Marion,

You should have a look at Building Controls Virtual Testbed (BCVTB): https://gaia.lbl.gov/bcvtb/FrontPage

BCVTB can be used to link various simulation programs. The user manual describes how to use Radiance with BCVTB (it's done via system command actors to call scripts). TRNSYS is on the list of programs to be connected with BCVTB, but I don't think it has been done yet.

Michael Wetter at LBNL is the person to contact about BCVTB and connecting simulation programs.

Best,
Andy
