I'm trying to install Radiance on my machine running Redhat 7.1, and I'm not having any success with it. HAs anyone heard of changes made to the system that might cause compiler errors? It seems to fail with about half of the executable files I expect it to make. I've made the appropriate changes in the makeall file to point to the X11 directories, so I'm fairly confident thats not the problem. Does anyone have and suggestions, or perhaps know where I might find a pre-compiled version for Linux OS?
Thanks,
Robert Graham
There are Linux binaries available at the distribution site:
http://radsite.lbl.gov/radiance/pub/
, though I can't currently reach the site. I didn't have any problems with
the compile on Redhat, so I would be curious to know what version you are
trying to compile and what the errors are.

I'm trying to compile the 3R1P8 version form the Radsite wep page. I'll try and get to those Linux binaries. Thanks for the advice.

In the same directory as the binaries, there are also the
sources to 3R1P20. The version P8 is out of date and does
indeed cause problems when compiling on recent (ie. less
than three years old) Linux systems.
Have fun!
