Id like to make identical scenes in Lightscape and 3ds max (using both
radiosity and mental ray) for the sake of comparisons.
I can supply the BRE-IDMP validation dataset (and Radiance model of
the test office) to anybody who would like to use this real-world scenario
for validation tests. The only restriction (at the behest of the BRE) is
that the test is carried out for research purposes only.
I should advise that use of it is no small undertaking. However, it
remains the 'gold standard' dataset to test predictions of daylight
illuminance. An overview of the validation procedure is given here:
