Hi all,
This may be a trivial question, but I can't get my head around it....
When I have my glare sources identified (by the red circles) what does
the value in the circle represent?
- Is it a weighted average of all the brightness values within
the circle?
- Are steradians involved?
- What is the resulting unit... cd/m2 or just cd?
Thanks!
Nastassja
Hi Nastassja,
The identified glare sources are shown with their average luminance in cd/m^2. The shape shown does not correspond necessarily to the actual shape of the sources. The shape shown is the centroid of the actual source with the estimated source solid angle drawn as a circle (which may appear as an ellipse depending on the view projection used).
Does this clear up your confusion?
