October 2004 Radiance Workshop in Fribourg

CALL FOR INTEREST -- THIRD ANNUAL RADIANCE WORKSHOP

  What: Scientific Applications Using RADIANCE

Where: University of Applied Sciences of Fribourg, Switzerland (www.eif.ch)

  When: October 11th & 12th (Monday & Tuesday) 2004

Organizers: Raphael Compagnon and Greg Ward

Estimated Cost: 200-300 CHF per person, students receive discounts
  (1CHF equals ~ 0.82 USD or 0.65 EURO)

  Purpose:
To provide researchers with an opportunity to present their work with
Radiance, and to share ideas and solutions with other attendees.
Participants are invited to give a talk, which will be limited to 30
minutes (~20 minute for the talk followed by ~10 minutes of open discussion).

Unlike last year's meeting in Berkeley, this workshop will not include a
tutorial component. Radiance users of all levels are of course welcome,
but if you want to take a class, we refer you to John Mardaljevic's
  September tutorial in Leicester: http://www.iesd.dmu.ac.uk/~jm/
However a kind of "RADIANCE problem solving session" may be organized during the workshop.

We will prebook some hotel rooms as well as some students rooms (lower prices...) once we find out how
  many attendees we can expect.

This is a preliminary call to guage the level of interest to determine if we
will be able to hold this workshop or not, so if you are interested,
PLEASE RESPOND NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY MARCH 31.

A final announcement with the agenda, workshop dates and registration
fees will be sent out in late May, and registration will be due on June
  15. Please complete the form below if you would like to attend. We
hope to see you in Firbourg!
