Hi all,
The brute force method I have used to get Radiance installed on my OS X machines have been to download the pre-compiled binaries from the LBNL site, as well as the Head and Auxilliary files from radiance-online.org. After copying all the binaries to /usr/local/bin from the pre-compiled binaries, I then ran through the ./makeall install script from the Head. Don't know how kosher this is, but it seems to have worked.

Since some MacOS X users experienced build problems lately:
Someone willing to donate a MacOS X machine (CPU speed not a factor) ? -
Could be integrated into the upcoming automatic nightly generation of
binaries at radiance-online. Replies preferably to the dev list or
offlist to techsup@radiance-online.org .-Peter
