genBSDF on Windows

Dear List,

Is there any option currently available to run genBSDF on windows? (besides running a Linux virtual machine from Windows)

Thanks in advance for your help,

Giovanni

I think there is one... I remember downloading WINDOW, and it came with
some genBSDF program somewhere.

It should be a Perl script, though, you will probably have to install that.

I've compiled the four Perl scripts that come with the NREL Radiance
for Windows, but have not had tested them extensively:

No need to install the Perl interpreter now.

Thanks both Axel and Germán,

I have installed radiance for windows 7 and this has created a number of files including a genbsdf.exe, I'll try that and the link Axel posted,

Will let you know if I succeed,

Thanks,

Giovanni

Hi Axel,

genklemsamp and genskyvec works on my system which is a great news. Finally
I can give 5Phase method a real try on Windows. =)

Thanks,
Mostapha

Great. Thanks for confirming this.

Don't get tangled up in your phases.

Best

Hello Axel,

I am attempting something similar to Giovanni. The .pl files that come with
the radiance installer (from NREL) don't seem to work for windows. It
appears that you converted them to .exe files, but when I follow the link to
your webpage they are not found. Is there a way you could share the .exe
version of genBSDF (and the others)?

Thank you,
Justin
