Dear Sir/Madame,
I've tried using the BSDF function to create a material using Diva for Rhino. I added this line to the code :
void BSDF testmat6 0 bsdf_0c.xml 0 1 0 .00
and I'm sure that my .xml file is working as I've tried it on a BSDF viewer and it worked.Once I run the simulation on Diva for Rhino an error appears in German language. What I assume that I've wrote something wrong in the material file so that's why I cannot run the simulation. But I can't find the error, can you help me out with it?
I used the genBSDF function to convert the .rad file to an .xml file.
Sincerely,Islam Mashaly.
bsdf_0c.rad (65.8 KB)
Hi Islam,
You have not really provided enough information to even offer suggestions as to possible causes. The Radiance file you attached doesn't even contain your BSDF material. It is a single-material object made of a smokey dielectric.
At the very least, you should include the error that you got and the context in which you got it. Otherwise, no one can help you.
Best,
-Greg

Hi Islam,
The error you see is an artifact of the wxFalsecolor program trying to open a failed simulation file.
For DIVA-specific help it makes sense to move this discussion to the http://diva4rhino.com/ support forums. But in this case, you can figure out the explicit error by editing the C:\DIVA\Temp\RhinoFileName\Filename_img.bat file to include a PAUSE at the last line. Then just run the batch file, and you should see the error message direct from Radiance. With that in hand, we can probably help more.
Best,
Alstan
