I am currently using Radiance (PC based) for analysing the use of 'light
pipes' in deep plan buildings. A light pipe is a highly specular reflective
surface (97%+) which redirects light from the zenithal sky into a room.
Unfortunately the simulation breaks down because of the
'backward-ray-tracing' nature of the PC Radiance suite of software I am
I have now installed Linux on my PC and am installing Radiance on it. Is it
possible to get a patch that allows Forward ray tracing (100 reflections or
more) for use with the light pipe?
