2011 Radiance Workshop venue

Our survey results are in, and it turned out to be a close race between NREL and LBNL, with LBNL a few paces ahead. The final results out of 60 responses was a predicted attendance at each venue of:

34 @ LBNL, Berkeley, California (57%)
26 @ NREL, Lakewood, Colorado (44%)
14 @ SERI, Singapore (23%)

From these data and our prior stipulation, the Radiance Workshop will be held next year at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. The organizers are currently looking into available spaces in the August-September time frame, and will get back with more details in the next couple of months.

Given the responses, I'm guessing that NREL will be a good place to hold a future workshop.

Thanks to Daniel Fuller for setting up the site, and to everyone who voted. We hope to see you next year!

Best,
-Greg

Q: Will the 2010 presentations be up by then? And whatever happened to 2009?

Hi John,

The 2009 presentations are available here
http://www.gsd.harvard.edu/research/gsdsquare/RadianceWorkshop2009.html.
Maybe a link can be added (again) from Radiance Online to our site? It
would be ideal if somebody copied the 2009 presentations to Radiance
Online as our school's website will get reorganized soon.

Hi John,

We haven't received copies of the 2010 slides Jan as yet, and the 2009 workshop isn't linked, but you can find the presentations here:

  http://www.gsd.harvard.edu/research/gsdsquare/RadianceWorkshop2009.html

I see Christoph responded as well, so I'm sure he added this. We should have a link to it, and I'll make sure we do when we get the 2010 presentations up.

Oh, so close! Well, maybe in three years NREL can have the privilege of
hosting the workshop. By then, the expansion to our recently-completed
Research Support Facility building will be complete, and the Energy
Systems Integration Facility will also likely be done -- plenty to see!
